If for some reason I don't make a meal of the samples at Volpetti, I usually head around the back of the store, down to their tavola calda, Volpetti Piu'.
This cafeteria serves typical Roman food (filetti di bacala, pasta, pizza, roasted chicken, soups, vegetables, suppli...) at a good price. Many of the mouth-watering items from the store are thankfully served here as well (like the torta di farro and the torta di ricotta.)
